The mission of Corby Clinical Commissioning Group is:

"To deliver, in partnership with its patients, a local health service that continually improves to meet today’s demand and tomorrow’s need to create a culture where individuals are supported to manage their own healthcare enabling people in Corby to live healthier, fuller lives."

This reflects our commitment to ensuring that the people of Corby can influence decisions about your NHS services. How we do that is set out in our Communications and Engagement Strategy.

We’re always looking to improve how we engage with local people. A new joint strategy is being developed with Nene CCG to cover all of Northamptonshire. As part of this, we recently ran a survey and would like to thank everyone who took part. The responses will help to shape our strategy. 

Patient and public participation is at the very heart of the way Corby Clinical Commissioning Group operates.

If you’d like to be involved on a regular basis, our Patient Reference Group allows you to have your say on the development of local healthcare.

The CCG also take these conversations to the public in a number of other ways:

  • Visiting busy public places, including supermarkets, cafes, libraries and sports venues
  • Running surveys – both face-to-face and online
  • Holding workshops
  • Visiting a wide range of community groups, meetings and events.

Every part of the population matters to us. The CCG has worked with our partners in Corby to build a network of contacts for those parts of the population which are heard less often. We continue to grow the network and build on these relationships. 

Every year we also hold an Annual General Meeting which is open to the public. Here we talk about what we have achieved over the past 12 months and our plans for the coming year. It’s also another opportunity to ask us questions about healthcare services for Corby people.

We’re currently working on our events calendar for 2019/20 and will post more details here soon. If you’d like us to provide an update on healthcare services at a meeting or event you’re staging, please contact us.
